New Sleep Association

Been teaching Faith to associate sleep with other objects and conditions so that she can learn to fall asleep at night without Mommy or suckling. She fell asleep tonight for the first time without suckling! Yeay! :) She fell asleep after rubbing her beanie pillow against her cheek for awhile...look so cute hugging the pillow.

When we were out shopping this afternoon, she calmed down and dozed off not long after I passed her the pillow too. Daddy tried it after one of her feeds while I was at work this morning too, and the same happened. Think she's growing fonder of her beanie pillow by the day!

Other sleep associations we've tried so far are:

• Transferring Faith into Daddy's arms after she's dozed off but not yet totally asleep while feeding on Mommy's breast, so that Faith learns it is safe to fall asleep in Daddy's arms instead of Mommy's.

• A nice warm bath before feeding and bedtime.

So far, so good...interesting indeed. :) I'm having lots of fun with this!
